SUN: ARRIVE CHONGQING

Upon arrival, be transferred to Harbour Plaza Hotel Chongqing for two nights.

MON: DAZU EXCURSION

Travel 160km to Dazu, one of China's most important Buddhist archaeological sites with over 50,000 carvings from the 13th-19th century AD.

TUE: YANGTZE CRUISE

Full day in Chongqing before embarking on Victoria Cruise ship ‘Anna’, departing at 9pm.

WED: YANGTZE CRUISE

Excursion to Shibaozhai or Fengdu.

THU: YANGTZE CRUISE

Sail through Qutang and Wu Gorges, travel to Daning River or Shennong Stream. Sail through Xiling Gorge and the Three Gorges ship locks.

FRI: YICHANG/SHANGHAI

Arrive at Yang Jia Wang and visit the Three Gorges Dam site. Continue to Yichang, disembarking at noon. Fly to Shanghai and spend three nights at Central Hotel Shanghai.

SAT-SUN: SHANGHAI

Two full days exploring gracious and cosmopolitan Shanghai. See the colonial concessions along the Bund for a spectacular view of Shanghai “yesterday and today”. Stroll through Chinatown and visit Yu Garden. Visit Xintiandi, a restored area of distinctive ‘shikumen’ houses and site of the 1st National Communist Party Congress, before driving to Jin Mao Tower, one of the world’s tallest buildings, for a panorama of the city. Evening acrobatic show.
