1

Upon arrival, be transferred to Kai Wah Plaza Kunming for one night.

Full day at the Stone Forest, 80 hectares of bizarrely-shaped limestone cliffs formed by erosion after the sea bed was thrust up 270 million years ago. Travel to Luxi County and visit Alu Ancient Cave, then onto Mile for overnight at Huquan Hotel, Mile County.

Stroll around the lake before travelling five hours to Yuanyang, visiting the villages of the Yi and Hani minority nationalities en route. Stay two nights at Yunti Hotel Yuanyang.

Discover breathtaking natural scenery and the culture of minority nationalities. Visit spectacular terraced rice fields stretching to the mountain summit like steps, known as ‘mountain soul’ by Hani people. Visit Hani villages before returning to your hotel.

Travel for three hours to Jianshui., visiting Chaoyang Tower and the Zhu Family Garden. Stay two nights at Zhu Family Garden Hotel.

The 1200-year-old town of Jianshui is a ‘museum of ancient architecture’. Visit the Old Quarter with wells scattered amongst small lanes, and China’s second largest Confucius temple, built in 1285. Visit Tuanshan's elegant historical residences with original carvings, Double Dragon Bridge and a traditional pottery workshop.

Enjoy Yunnan's amazing landscapes as you travel for 4 hours to Kunming, stopping at Xingmeng village of Mogolen and the Grand Mosque of Najiaying village. Enjoy a walk in the old town of Kunming and a visit local markets. Overnight at Kai Wah Plaza Kunming.
