Explore Beijing sights that capture the imagination – the Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, the splendours of the Forbidden City, plus Tiananmen Square.

See the Pandas at Beijing Zoo and tour the ‘hutongs’ (back alleys) by cycle rickshaw for a behind-the-scenes look at Chinese life at its most traditional. Visit the Silk Market and a cloisonne factory.

Spend a day visiting the Sacred Way, the Exhibition Hall of the Ming Tombs and the Great Wall, one of the world’s greatest wonders. Enjoy a Peking Duck dinner and a performance of ‘The Legend of Kung Fu’.

Fly to Harbin and stay two nights.

Explore the markets and streets of the city and observe the different architectural styles and influences. Visit the Children’s Park and enjoy a short diesel train ride operated by the children. Continue onto Stalin Park, Sun Island and the steam locomotive depot.
