Transfer to the hotel.

Visit Beijing sights that capture the imagination – the Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, the splendours of the Forbidden City, plus Tiananmen Square.

See the Pandas at Beijing Zoo and tour the ‘hutongs’ (back alleys) by cycle rickshaw for a behind-the-scenes look at Chinese life at its most traditional. Visit the Silk Market and a cloisonne factory.

Spend a day visiting the Sacred Way, the Exhibition Hall of the Ming Tombs and the Great Wall, one of the world’s greatest wonders. Enjoy a Peking Duck dinner and a performance of ‘The Legend of Kung Fu’.

Fly to Xian and stay two nights. This evening enjoy a cultural show with dinner at the Tang Dynasty Theatre.

Spend a day exploring this gracious and cosmopolitan city. See the former Colonial Concessions along the Bund for a view of the ‘yesterday & today’ of Shanghai, drive to Pudong and stop at the soaring Jin Mao Tower for a breathtaking panorama of the city. Stroll along the alleyways of Old Chinatown and visit the Yu Garden. This evening enjoy an acrobatic show.
