Visit Wuyi Mountain National Scenic Area, famous for its dramatic red peaks, sheer rock faces, rivers and forests. Board a traditional bamboo raft and appreciate the magnificent scenery as you drift along the Nine Bend River.

Fly to Xiamen. Meet/greet on arrival and stay three nights at the Wyndham International Hotel. Visit Wulao Mountain for a panoramic view of the port in Xiamen and the South Putuo Buddhist Monastery.
Take a short boat trip to Gulangyu, an island with a distinct Mediterranean flavour and lined with beautiful golden beaches. Stroll along the meandering tree-lined paths and explore the narrow lanes overflowing with busy hawker stalls. Return to Xiamen by boat.

Travel to the outskirts of Xiamen to see Hakka architecture, that is not just unique to China but around the world. Called “Tu Lou”, or earthly structures, the architecture is designed to be quakeproof, fireproof and provide thermal insulation. The origins of the design have been traced back to the Han dynasty.
