Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel for two nights.
In the morning, visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, his wooden cottage and One Pillar Pagoda. Your tour continues with a visit to the Temple of Literature and Hoa Lo Prison (formerly known as the “Hanoi Hilton” during the Vietnam War) and the Museum of Ethnology. Enjoy a cyclo tour to the bustling streets of the Old Quarter where you will explore the fascinating network of narrow lanes and shop houses selling all kinds of craft. Tonight enjoy a traditional Water Puppet performance.

A full day excursion to beautiful Halong Bay, acknowledged as one of the natural wonders of the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a leisurely cruise through the emerald green waters from which thousands of islands and grottoes rise majestically towards the sky. Whilst on board enjoy a delicious seafood lunch. Transfer back to Hanoi for overnight.
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Saigon where you will be met and transferred to your hotel for two nights. This afternoon a city tour will include a visit to the Reunification Palace, formerly known as the Presidential Palace, the cathedral of Notre Dame, the Post Office and the ‘Hotel de Ville’ or City Hall. End the tour with a stop at the Thien Hau Temple, a Chinese temple in Cholon, the bustling Chinatown of the city.

Travel to My Tho and join a boat trip along the Tien River to Ben Tre Island. Pass small barges and fishing boats before stopping at Phoenix Islet where you will meet local families making coconut rice paper and handicrafts from coconut shells. Travel onto Tan Thach where you will pick up your bicycle for an 8km ride through the coconut groves and remote local villages. Enjoy a traditional style Vietnamese lunch by a tiny tributary of the Tien River before continuing with a leisurely boat trip to encounter typical river life as your pass by Mekong style boats laden with sand, fruit, fish and coconuts. Visit some small family run cottage industries before returning to Saigon.
