From capital Yangon to historically famous Mandalay, this journey focuses on some of the most significant sites in Myanmar, one of the highlights the clusters of pagodas in Bagan which dot the shore of the Irrawaddy River.

Day 1 Arrive Yangon

Transfer to the Chatrim Hotel. Afternoon visit Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda, home to a 70 meter long reclining Buddha. Continue to a Modern Tea Shop for a chance to experience an integral of Burmese life, drinking tea! Take a walk through the Kandawgyi Park and stop at the Shwedagon Pagoda and enjoy breathtaking views of the golden stupa and the city skyline from this vantage point.

Day 2 Yangon/Mandalay

Transfer to the airport for flight to Mandalay for one night at the Sedona Hotel. Start your afternoon at Sagaing - home to 3,000 monks and 100 meditation centres where you will find a typical Burmese market that few tourist visit. Continue to the ancient capital of Ava and travel by horse carriage to the old wooden Bagaya Monoestery, the Royal Place and Fort.

Day 3 Amarapura/Ava/Sagaing/Bagan

Morning stop is Amarapura to enjoy a stroll along the 200 year old teak bridge before your transfer to Bagan by air where you will spend three nights at the Bagan Lodge.

Day 4 Bagan

Visit the colourful market and local villages producing traditional lacquer ware and wood crafts. Take a boat ride along the Irrawaddy River to the impressive Kyauk Gu U Min Temple with a stop at the farming village to get an in-depth knowledge of their local way of life. Return to Bagan by boat.
