Day 1  WED 13 November 2019 AUSTRALIA / MACAO

Depart Brisbane/Melbourne/Sydney on Cathay Pacific Airways to Hong Kong for SeaExpress connection to Macao. You will be met and transferred to the Grand Lapa Hotel. Note: Brisbane passenger depart on an overnight flight just after mid-night and arrive in the morning today.

DAY 2 THU 14 NOVEMBER 2019 MACAO

Depart hotel for a day trip of Macao. First stop will be made to the Guia Hill via the Guia Circuit which features a combination of fast straights and tight corners. Arrive at the Guia Fortress where you will gain a panoramic perspective of the city. The fortress was built during 1620s, inside the fortress stands the Guia Chapel, the chapel’s elaborate frescoes representing both western and Chinese themes and are perfect example of Macao’s multicultural dimension. Along with the first modern lighthouse on Chinese coast, all three are symbols of Macao’s maritime, military and missionary past and the entire complex is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Continue to Kun Iam Temple (Goddess of Mercy) – one of the three major ancient temples in Macao that witnessed the growth of Macao and historical events, the temple covers a very large terraced garden that is home of a number of memorial stones with one of them is the stone table where the first Sino-American treaty was signed in 1944.

Follow by a visit to the Observation deck of Macao Tower (328 metres high) for a spectacular 360 degree view of the entire Macao Peninsula, Taipa, Coloane and look over to China. The tower offers the world’s highest commercial bungee jump by A.J. Hackett. A Portuguese style buffet lunch will be served at the Tromba Rija Restaurant at the tower.

After lunch, proceed to the Mount Fortress that houses the Macao Museum which presents the history of the city and territory of the former Portuguese colony of Macao. Nearby in the heart of the old city stands the first Church and College of Jesuits in China – the Ruins of St. Paul’s which is the landmark of Macao. On your way down to Senado Square, a stop will be made at the Lou Kau Mansion – a former residence of a prominent local merchant who lived in Macao at the end of the 19th Century. The mansion was built around 1889 which combine Chinese style architecture and Portuguese design features. The coach will take you back to the hotel and rest of the day at leisure.

Own arrangement to the Lisboa Stand (ticket included) to watch the 66th Macao Grand Prix Race practice.
